Burnout vorbeugen - 5 Tipps

Prevent burnout - 5 tips

If you have a lot of stress at work, are also frequently challenged in your private life and never get enough recognition – constantly working too much and not switching off in your free time either, you are acutely at risk for burnout.

To prevent this from happening, it is particularly important to calm down.

You don’t have to go on vacation for 5 weeks. Driving to switch off for a change.

Even well-used breaks at work and in your free time can help prevent a mental breakdown.

Dealing with negative thoughts and feelings in the right way can also relax you internally. But what exactly can you do? Below are 5 simple tips you can implement quickly.

Conscious and mindful doing nothing

Tip number 1:

Conscious and mindful doing nothing

Just do nothing for a while. Conscious. Switch off, take a deep breath and find inner peace.

Admittedly, this can take a while the first time. You’ll be amazed at how many thoughts rush through your head.

In today’s world, we are constantly flooded with impulses. Social media, podcast, radio, Netflix. Best 2-3 things at the same time. Many people now find it difficult to do “just” one thing. Do nothing? Impossible.

Sit quietly and comfortably, close your eyes and let your breath flow naturally. Just wait and see what happens. In the beginning, you may find it difficult and this inner peace will challenge you and be hard to bear. If you practice it more often and keep at it here, you will be rewarded with an inner peace and clarity that you can enjoy.

Tip number 2:

Your breathing

When you are stressed, you often breathe shallower and faster. The signal to your psyche is: danger is imminent, this is a reason to be afraid! If you consciously interrupt this process by breathing deeply and calmly, you can manage to calm yourself down with just a few breaths.

Tip number 3:

5 hours time

Many people always tell you they don’t have time. If you ask them how many hours there are in a week, you can’t answer that question. A week has 168 hours!

If you can manage to take 5 hours for yourself each week, that’s not too much!

You can also divide these 5 hours into stages. As long as you do something “meaningful” that gives you. Does well. Whether it’s sports or gardening, meditation or a round of reading.

If 5 hours seems too much or is not feasible, you can start with less. The important thing is, you follow through!

Tip number 4:

Satisfaction

Surely you have also experienced other people committing minor offenses. They are too fast, too slow, too accurate, inaccurate, don’t listen closely, and just aren’t what you want them to be.

This list is long. A change in your perspective often helps here:

“Where has this person helped me before?”

“What am I grateful to this person for?”

“What is this person good at?”

In this way, you consciously train your satisfaction in dealing with other people – also for your own sake.

Tip number 5

Gratitude

What are you grateful for in your life? Do you have a list for that? When you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, it’s easy to fall into pessimistic thinking. Gratitude is recognizable!

Just thinking of 5 things you’re grateful for can help you feel better.
